Hazelnut coffee, sleeping babies and it's FRIDAY...doesn't get much better...

Well, yes it does... we are going to Shreveport today!!!! It will be a quick trip because I have to be back early Sunday afternoon for Joy's baby shower, but we don't want to miss the Mardi Gras Party at Kate's house. The whole gang will be there, plus lots of good food and a bounce house for the kids! I'm excited to have a day with my family and Georgia cannot wait to see Mamie and Pappa and to play with her cousins. We love our Shreveport weekends... better get packing!

One quick thing, we started rice cereal with Amelia last night. She absolutely hated it! She took one bite and spit out the rest. Oh well... we'll try again today!

Told ya I wasn't good at this...

...But I'm going to do better!!!!! Many months (years!) have passed since I started this blog and I'm kicking myself for not doing a better job at keeping up with it. Starting today though, I'm committed to doing better. So much has happened for us in the last few years. Not only were we blessed with one amazing little girl, but this past fall God gave us another! Amelia Grace was born September 23, 2010 weighing 6 lb's 10 oz's and was 21 inches long. She is beyond perfect. So sweet all the time. Eats well and sleeps great! What else could a mommy ask for!! Today she turned 5 months old and rolled over for the first time. Luckily, I caught it on camera!! I will post the video soon... it's really cute, if you can get past my high-pitched squealing voice! :))

We are having a ball watching our little girls grow. God has been so good to us and we are thankful! More to come later.....

So, I'm not so good at blogging.....

I have found out that I'm not very good at blogging, as you can see... I started this in August and haven't posted another since! But, I'm going to keep trying. We have too much wonderful stuff going on in our lives that's worthy of remembering!! :) Hopefully, this blog will help me do that...

Georgia Claire is 16 mths old, which is sooo hard to believe. She amazes me everyday. For example, lastnight she said "alligator" a three syllable word, pretty darn good for a child who's barely a year old. She understands everything I tell her, which astounds me... we went for a walk this morning and the sun was in her eyes, I said, "Lean back so the sun's not on you," thinking I would have to show her how to do it, but no... my little smarty just leaned her head back so that it was under the canopy of the stroller. A little while ago she came to me and had a sleepy look in her eyes. I asked her if she wanted to go night-night... she perked up a bit, looked at me like "you read my mind" and walked off to the bedroom saying, "night-night, night-night" ... she's so stinking cute!

I hope I can remember to blog about all our wonderful moments in the future.... I don't want to forget what a joy it is seeing my baby girl learn and grow and do things that amaze me on a daily basis!! :) Thank you Lord for children!

My first BLOG!!! =)

Hi friends and family..... this is hopefully the first of many blogs that you will see from me. I hope to use this as a way to keep in touch with you and share what's happening with our family. Georgia Claire changes daily, so maybe this way, I can document for you (and for me) all the wonderful things she is learning and all the cute things she is doing from day to day - the list is long, so I hope I can keep up with it! :) We look forward to seeing you soon and hearing from you often.
